WHAT TO EXPECT

Are you a Beginner?

We all begin somewhere. So come and begin here. You do not have to be flexible or fit. You do not have to be thin or athletic. You do not have to be young or strong. You do not have to be balanced or calm. That is the beautiful thing about yoga, it meets you exactly where you are. With arms wide open.

Be gentle with yourself as you begin. Yoga is a practice. As you keep coming back to the yoga mat, your flexibility will increase. You will become stronger. You will feel more balanced and calm. Your energy and focus will increase. You will find that you let go of things that no longer serve you, as you make space for the things you want to invite in. Your mind and body will begin to feel like a much more comfortable place to live.

Don't be afraid to come to your first yoga class.  This is a safe and non-judgmental space. People are kind. So begin with any of our beginner friendly classes offered several times a week. Any of the classes on our schedule with a * symbol are beginner friendly.

Please be sure to let your instructor know if you have any previous injuries or physical limitations before beginning classes. You can always give us a call beforehand if you have any special needs or concerns. Please note that all classes are not for everyone. We will do our best to help you find the right classes on our schedule for you to begin your individual yoga practice.

Feel free to register on our schedule or walk in 10 minutes early to fill out the new student information form. We look forward to seeing you on the mat soon!

When are you open?

The studio will open approximately 15 minutes prior to the class start time.  Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before class begins so you can settle in. Doors are locked 5 minutes after the class begins, and remain locked throughout class.

No one is at the studio during non class times so please call 813-716-0904 if you need information.

Should I register online?

Signing up online is a great way to plan your weekly yoga schedule and commit to it. Your instructor appreciates it as well, as she knows to expect you. It is also great because if the class is cancelled for any last minute reason, you will receive a call in advance!

We are a drop-in studio, so you may come to any class on the schedule, anytime without pre-registering. If you are a new client, this will allow you the time to register and become acquainted with our studio.

What should I avoid?

Avoid eating a heavy meal before coming to class.

Please no cell phones or shoes in practice space.  Any electronics that make noise we kindly ask that you silence them when entering the studio.  We have cubbies for you to store your things.

Don't push yourself. Yoga is about practicing to your own level - We believe that your yoga mat is your own little island!! Rest as needed, avoiding over-stretching, straining, or injury.  Never push to your 100%. Be gentle with yourself. Overtime, with mindful practice, you will learn how to listen to your body.

What should I definitely do?

Definitely let your instructor know BEFOREHAND if you have any physical limitations, conditions, or are pregnant.

Make yourself comfortable. Relax. ENJOY YOUR EXPERIENCE!

BE kind and respectful to everyone in the studio space.

What do I need to bring?

All you need to do is show up. Wear comfortable, loose fitting, or yoga clothing.

AN OPEN MIND.

We have yoga mats for your use.
